Hi, I’m Julianna (she/her)

I’m a Product Designer and Design Lead with a background in business and product management. For the better part of a decade, I’ve worked with startups, agencies, and large organizations to create experiences that are thoughtful, collaborative, and deeply human.

My path into design wasn’t linear. I studied business, focusing on strategy and customer behavior, and started my career in tech through roles in marketing, communications, and operations. I eventually joined an innovation incubator within RBC, where I helped build new ventures from scratch. This fuelled my passion for 0→1 work and laying the foundation for a user-centred, systems-thinking approach to design. From there, I continued working at RBC on travel and insurance products, deepening my understanding of complex, regulated spaces.

Since then, I’ve designed products across healthcare, wellness, entertainment, and travel, where I’ve partnered closely with founders, CEOs, and cross-functional leaders. My work spans early-stage startups to Fortune 500s, and I approach every challenge with a strategic mindset, translating complexity into clarity through process, research, and collaboration.

Currently, I lead design at Secret City Studio and within the client teams we support. I also run our early talent program, mentoring emerging designers and other young professionals.

When I'm not deep in Figma or mentoring, you can spot me out and about exploring new foods, trying to make craft cocktails, and shamelessly binging movies.
